“Sous Le Nez, an old stager in Leeds that has been there a very long time. Great wine list. Nothing on the menu will surprise you, but it is done very, very well.”
Jay Rayner, LNER Podcast interview, 2026

“Venturing underground into the heart of Sous Le Nez, you’ll quickly feel like you’ve walked into one of those famous Parisian restaurants folk always rave about. Well, Leeds has its own French masterpiece to shout about, and crikey, is it good. Their menu is full of classics, and there’s plenty of amazing wine from some of the finest vineyards to wash it down with – all that’s left is a quick walk down the Champs-Elysées and a totter up the Eiffel Tower.”
Joseph Sheerin, Leeds-List.com

"We had a celebration for my son's 21st. 12 people in the private dining room. The food was excellent, wine choice is second to none and the service was exemplary. The whole experience from booking to the wonderful meal was a pleasure. I would recommend for a special occasion."

"Everytime I come here I am never disappointed. The flavours are amazing, the wine to die for. The steak always melts in your mouth. From the starter to dessert every bite is divine. Will always be my favourite restaurant."
